Voting Mechanics
Ether.fi governance voting operates under the following rules:
-
A vote can be initiated at the same time a proposal is submitted, with a 4-day voting window.
-
1M ETHFI is required for quorum in order for a vote to be valid.
-
A proposal passes if it receives at least 1M ETHFI in approval votes.
-
Core contributors are permitted to delegate their voting power.
How to Participate in Governance
-
Connect your wallet to the Ether.fi governance platform (Snapshot).
-
Hold ETHFI or sETHFI — your voting power is proportional to the tokens you hold or that have been delegated to you.
-
Review proposals — proposals are posted with context and discussion before and during the 4-day voting window.
-
Cast your vote — vote “For,” “Against,” or “Abstain.”
-
Delegate (optional) — if you prefer, you can delegate your voting power to another community member or core contributor.
