Request for Delegates

We are a team of dedicated governance enthusiasts who have been in the crypto governance space for over three years. Our team were some of the first members involved in defi governance and we want to apply what we have learned over here to EtherFi. We believe this community has some of the strongest and most intelligent community members and we’re grateful to be along for the journey!

Our Values:

  • Growth: Our decisions are primarily focused on the growth of the protocol. This often results in how to spend money efficiently, but even more importantly and objecting for unreasonable spends and knowing when to vote no.

  • Transparency: Clear communication with votes and explanations of reasoning, and an equivalent demand for proposals to do the same. Too often we see thousands, if not millions, being rolled up together and glossed over during proposals.

  • Accountability: Too often once a decision is done, having proper accountability becomes an afterthought. Whether it’s a DAO promise or a grant or a new program, once a DAO votes something in, we forget about it. Our goal with PGov is to both continue to check in on these decisions as well as ensure that there are proper channels set up to ensure accountability.

Aside from a few members or our team being avid EtherFi point farmers since Season 1, we have been getting more and more involved in the LRT and Restaking space. Recently, we contributed to research on restaking and are also in line to be EIGEN governance delegates (of course being humble farmers as well). Broader, we have been seasoned delegates in the space across blue chip defi protocols such as Aave, Compound, and MakerDAO for years.

Thanks for your consideration!

As a Ph.D. in psychology and data scientist, I bring a unique perspective to the ether.fi community. My expertise lies not only understanding data but also in understanding the human factors that drive decision-making and community engagement. This dual focus allows me to approach decentralized governance with a balanced perspective that values both quantitative insights and the emotional and psychological dynamics that shape community interactions. I have actively participated in the ether.fi ecosystem by staking in the system and holding tokens, which has given me firsthand experience with the platform’s operations and its community.

I want to be a delegate for ether.fi because I believe in the transformative power of decentralized finance to improve lives and create more equitable financial systems. My vision for ether.fi is one where data-driven decisions are balanced with a deep understanding of the community’s needs and sentiments. I aim to contribute by advocating for transparency, inclusivity, and a governance model that recognizes the value of human emotions and psychological insights. By leveraging my expertise, I hope to ensure that ether.fi not only grows as a protocol but also remains a platform where every voice is heard.

While I am relatively new to actively engaging with the ether.fi community, I am committed to becoming more involved and contributing meaningfully. I have begun participating in discussions and offering my insights where possible, focusing on promoting a positive and inclusive environment. As a strong believer in the ethos of DeFi, I look forward to deepening my engagement with the community, learning from other members, and using my background to support ether.fi’s growth and success. I am eager to connect more with the community and help shape the future of the protocol through active participation and thoughtful dialogue.

Introduction

My name is Ariel, people called me Ariiellus. I love to learn new stuffs. Sometimes I research new developments in Ethereum. Sometimes I analyze mechanism designs around cryptoeconomics.

What I do

Co founder, CEO and Main Researcher. I lead my team to write amazing blogs while we build a portfolio tracker.

Ethereum Mexico :mexico:

Co founder, former Community Lead now I’m grant manager and find ways to incentivize the community to build in the Infinite Garden.

Delegate Statement

I am excited to apply as a delegate to contribute to the growth and decentralization of the EtherFi protocol. With a background in mechanical engineering, project management, and a strong focus on token engineering and grants management, I am confident in my ability to carefully assess each proposal and support the protocol’s long-term success.

Recently, I became part of the Operation Solo Staker initiative, which further deepened my interest in EtherFi’s governance and decentralized vision. As a delegate, my primary goal is to align long-term incentives across all stakeholders, ensuring that EtherFi continues to evolve in a way that benefits the community, token holders, and the wider Ethereum ecosystem.

By leveraging my expertise and commitment, I aim to play an active role in shaping EtherFi’s future, making informed decisions that strengthen the protocol and enhance its sustainability. I look forward to representing the community’s interests and ensuring that EtherFi remains at the forefront of decentralized restaking solutions.

Conflicts of Interest

Currently I don’t have any conflict of interest. I’ll inform the EtherFi community if this changes in the future.

Views on Top Issues

On Grants

Grants serve as an avenue for deeper collaboration and commitment between organizations. Ether.fi has the opportunity to secure significant grants from numerous chains. Beyond integration costs, these grants can be used to incentive and reward ether.fi users. This year alone, we’ve secured nearly $4M in grants for Compound.Finance users.

On Growth

With all partners, we focus on fostering sustainable DeFi growth. At Compound.Finance, we’ve launched 7 new markets, 30+ collateral assets, and brought over $400M in TVL. At Ether.Fi, we plan on contributing to the DAO by leveraging similar growth strategies. We’ll work with the ether.fi team, the other delegates, and the community to identify which growth opportunities are most pertinent for the DAO.

On Business Development

Our strategy leverages our DeFi-native BD army at AlphaGrowth. In the process of running ecosystem growth and business development for various blockchains and DeFi protocols, we’ve reached all corners of the space. We are here to leverage our network to position Ether.fi as the top restaking protocol.

On Token Utility and Optionality

We believe that each additional utility that we give to the family of ether.fi assets, we give users one less reason to sell them. This applies to eETH, weETH, eBTC, and ETHFI. We want to see the token utility roadmaps to be methodical and calculated. We are actively working towards listing ether.fi assets on Compound. A well thought-out DeFi roadmap is what we call DeFi Operations (DeFi Ops). Some of the initiatives that we would like to push include deepening the liquidity of ether.fi assets, and increasing their optionality and ubiquity. Some of these DeFi utilities include borrowing, lending, perps, options, derivatives, indexes, and structured products. By thoughtfully planning and executing this roadmap, we can position ether.fi assets as versatile and valuable assets in DeFi.
